York Way Estate
Key Details
Overview
York Way Estate redevelopment in London N7.
The new homes form part of the City of London Corporation’s York Way Estate in the London Borough of Islington.
The scheme contains four new buildings with 91 new homes ranging from studios to four beds.
All of the apartments have high Home Quality Mark and are available for social rent that is subsidized by the government. This means that residents pay less for energy and have fewer negative effects on the environment.
Half of the homes will be given to tenants of Islington Council.
Construction starts start in January 2023 and completion is due in early 2025.
Pennfield, Lambfold, and Kinefold House are three of the existing 9-storey blocks. Shepherd House is the fourth building, and it is four stories tall. Before the development, the buildings on the estate contain 275 homes in total.
