Overview

1 Golden Lane, formerly known as Cripplegate House, is an office development by Castleforge in the City of London EC1.

The extension and refurbishment of the existing building designed by Hawkins/Brown contains 15,471m2 Grade A flexible office floorspace and a new community and cultural space.

The scheme follows Circular Economy principles and aims to achieve BREEAM 'Outstanding'.

To encourage active travel, 222 long-stay and 14 new short-stay cycle parking spaces will be built.

History

Cripplegate Institute was built in 1894 to the designs of Sidney Smith (Tate Britain), containing libraries, auditorium, committee rooms and classrooms.
