Construction starts at Lansdowne House site

Blackstone, the leading global alternative asset manager, today celebrated the start of construction on its new 226,000 square-foot European headquarters at the previous Lansdowne House site in its historic London base, Berkeley Square in Mayfair, London W1.


The ceremonial groundbreaking event saw the attendance of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, US Ambassador to the UK Jane Hartley, and Stephen A. Schwarzman, Blackstone's Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder.

Blackstone will occupy the premier 226,000 sq ft 10-floor building, which is nearly two-thirds larger than its existing office on the square at 40 Berkeley Square.
