London's well-known Bishop's Avenue, also known as 'Billionaire's Row', has seen an impressive real estate transaction recently.

A grand seven-bedroom mansion in the celebrated Bishop's Avenue, also known as 'Billionaire's Row', has been let out for a record £80,000 per month (£20k pw/£960k pa). This deal was facilitated by Aston Chase, London's ultra-prime estate agent.

What makes this mansion stand out is its television fame, featuring in the 2022 and 2023 series of BBC1's 'The Apprentice' with Lord Alan Sugar, as well as on Channel 4's 'Britain's Most Expensive Houses'.

The new tenants of this 14,530 sq ft property are a family relocating from Kensington W8, an equally distinguished neighbourhood. They were initially looking for a secure, low-built property in Kensington and Chelsea, but finding this mansion, with its vast outdoor space and premium amenities, persuaded them to relocate to Hampstead Garden Suburb in North-West London.

This Georgian-style mansion is part of an ultra-exclusive scheme of super-prime houses and apartments and was built by a developer specialising in luxury hotel schemes.

The property sits within secure gated grounds, set back off Bishop's Avenue, and is surrounded by award-winning landscaping featuring Oak, Hazel, and Willow trees.

The mansion offers an array of luxurious facilities akin to a high-end resort, including a spa and fitness facility, a glass mosaic-lined swimming pool, a separate spa pool, a marble-clad ice chute, a sauna, a steam room, a Jacuzzi, a treatment room, home cinema, and a club room with a marble-clad bar and adjoining external courtyard. A passenger lift serves all floors.

This historic rental agreement earned the mansion the 'Let of the Year (North London)' award at the prestigious LonRes Awards 2023. The tenants, satisfied with their new residence, initially signed a 12-month rental agreement, which they have since extended for another year, highlighting their contentment with life in Hampstead Garden Suburb.

With a rent amounting to almost £1 million per year, this mansion holds the record for the most expensive home ever let on Bishop’s Avenue and in North-West London.

Mark Pollack, Co-Founding Director of Aston Chase commented: “This significant lettings deal is one of the most substantial rents ever achieved on The Bishop’s Avenue and underlines both the desirability of The Bishop’s Avenue as an internationally recognised address and the quality of the residence itself. The property provides many of the amenities ordinarily found within a luxury hotel which, along with the 24/7 security is what tempted the tenants to relocate from Kensington to Kenwood. Aston Chase is proud to have facilitated this important transaction recognised by LonRes which reflects the success of our prime lettings activity which has experienced exponential growth over the last 24 months.”

Arron Bart, Lettings Director at Aston Chase added: “This recently built mansion offers the grandeur of The Bishop’s Avenue with the amenities of a hotel, including a swimming pool, gym, sauna, massage room and cinema. The combination of luxurious, high-quality interiors and leisure facilities attracted the tenants to the property. The concierge at the scheme is a fountain of knowledge and woe betide anyone trying to get past his eagle eye.  The house is set within a luxury gated development which offers the ultimate in security allowing our tenants to maintain a discrete, low profile.”
