OakNorth Bank and ASK Partners provide £62m Loan for 133 apartments

30/06/2023 by Buildington

OakNorth Bank and ASK Partners have provided a 36-month, £62m senior loan to a leading global alternative investment firm. The loan is secured against 133 apartments in a 53-storey residential tower in Docklands, London E14, part of the 182-metre-tall Amory Tower.

The tower comprises 423 units, of which 104 are affordable, located on the lower floors. The borrower has acquired 133 private apartments with virtual freeholds, on floors 28 and above. Out of these, 100 apartments have outdoor space, and most are let on assured shorthold tenancy agreements.

This is the second major co-loan between ASK and OakNorth Bank since OakNorth purchased 50% of ASK shares in October of the previous year. This partnership reflects their mutual strategy to support each other in the UK real estate market.
