Planning permission granted

The City of London has approved plans for the redevelopment of 65 Crutched Friars that will create a new permanent home for the Migration Museum.

Currently based in Lewisham, the museum will span three floors, offering exhibition and event space, a café, and a shop. The museum's mission is to explore how the movement of people to and from Britain throughout history has shaped the nation.

The developer behind the project, Dominus, has agreed to provide rent-free space for 60 years, cover operating costs for three years, and donate £500,000 to support the museum's fundraising campaign.
