Overview
Bancroft and Wickford is a new affordable residential-led development by Tower Hamlets in Bethnal Green, London E1.
Designed by Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects, the two new residential-led buildings with community workspace will contain 33 new homes in total.
The scheme will also deliver the transformation of an area of public realm between the two development sites and 64-134 Cambridge Heath Road into a new neighbourhood garden.
Bancroft TMC - is located at the end of a cul-de-sac on Wickford Street and by the railway line. The site is within the Whitechapel Vision Area and is a 10-minute walk to Whitechapel Station to the south/west and Bethnal Green Station to the north/west.
Wickford Street Garages site is located to the east of 64-134 Cambridge Heath Road and south of Frederick Charrington House.
