Portland House is an office building in Victoria, London SW1.

Landsec is refurbishing the existing office building and cleaning its façade.

A new ground plus 14 storey extension will be built on to Bressenden Place to provide more flexible office space and create a new publicly accessible rooftop bar and restaurant on the 28th and 29th floors.

The floor area will increase by 30% with range of floor plates 11,000 to 17,000 sq ft. Range of amenities including cafés and wellness facilities.

Earliest start on-site April 2020, completion October 2022.


Built in 1962, the existing building comprises 300,000 sq ft (27,870m2) office space and 11,490 sq ft (1,070m2) retail space.

2019 June - Planning application submitted for: Ground plus 14 storey extension along Bressenden Place to provide Class B1 (office) accommodation and Class A1 (retail) accommodation at ground floor. Use of Level 28 and new pavillion extension at main roof level for Class A3/A4 accommodation (restaurants / bars). The installation of two external lifts on the northern elevation of the building. Works to the existing building façade, including the replacement of the treatment of the top of the building, the replacement of the existing windows and the cleaning of the existing façade and associated works. The reconfiguration of the existing ground floor to provide Class A3 / A4 (restaurants / bars) accommodation, the provision of a flexible Class A1/A3 (retail/ restaurants) unit at ground floor, the use of the basement for Class A3 / A4 (restaurants / bars), Class B1 (office), flexible Class A1/A3/D2 (retail/restaurants/gym).
